You can never have too many Mitsouko praise-posts...so here's mine. PERFECTLY composed scent, she is. I'm not the biggest classic scent fan...most of mine are newer fragrances, except for Estee and a few others. Mitsouko was an instant love for me. I've only ever tried and owned the current EDP. I think it's such a charming perfume. Even the very end of the drydown is so soft and comforting to me. I don't think it's funky or musty, at all...just smooth and soft as velvet and so very luxurious. I'm wearing it to bed tonight, and it's so calming to me. This is the stuff dreams are made of. I don't get florals from this....just smooth, warm woodsiness, perfectly blended so much that it seems impressionistic. I do think it's a dressy fragrance, and I definitely wouldn't waste it for day-wear, but this is just perfect for a romantic night out. I think this is one of the greatest perfumes ever, and my favorite from Guerlain. Just breathtakingly beautiful. Count me in as a true, died in the wool fan of this masterpeice. Just knowing that knockout babe, Jean Harlow wore this makes me smile every time.

Nice review of one of my all time favourites. And although I have worn it on everyday occasions years ago, nowadays I do save my Mitsouko only for very special occasions.

Mitsouko is one of favourite scents ever. I own every formulation of it except for the body cream (which is delicious by the way, but I couldn't find it yet... Plus I don't really wear scented creams anyways). Mitsouko and Vol de Nuit are two perfect perfumes. I do savour the parfum for special occasions. But the EDT and the EDP I used to wear on a daily basis (the EDP in warmer weather and the EDT is great in heat). I haven't been on a Mitsouko mode for a long time, but I am sure I will get back to it again once I get over the excitement of the many new perfumes I recently added to my ever growing family...
(as a side note, I like to spend a perios of time with new perfumes, and than after I get used to them, when I wear them again they also remind me of a certain time in my life, when I wore them all the time).

Wish that I could enjoy this one, but it isn't catching on with me, will keep trying though...

IDJ, I agree, never too much praise for Mitsouko. Your words have inspired me to wear it tomorrow. Thanks.

Tjen, don't give up on it.

I adore Mitsouko and love it in the parfum the most. This is liquid gold. Its so lovely at night and in the winter.
