Well at the urging of many of you (thanks) I decided to post about my Jovan White Musk experience.
I used to wear this probably ten years ago and after smelling it the other day on a lady I found myself craving it again. It reminds me of fall because I remember one fall in particular when I wore it a lot.
I'm not sure why I stopped wearing it. There's a hilarious review on MUA about it being the perfume of choice for whores...prostitutes actually. Those are the kinds of things that no matter how independant or rebellious we are it keeps us from buying. Silly.
It's not a complex fragrance but has the soft clean smell that runs along the same lines as Nocturnes or such scent. It has some spicy undertones on me. It is not the same as Nocturnes as I just went and sprayed Nocturnes on one arm and have JWM on the other. Rather it is a very wearable and pleasing fragrance for almost any occasion.
When I bought my JWM I sprayed it on my arm and the next morning it was as present as when I first sprayed it. This is a cologne strength and it lasted me all day yesterday. $14 for 2 oz.
I've always loved Jovan Musk Oil and now I'm enjoying White Musk again. Maybe it's going to gain that reverse snob appeal that Bitter Grace has referred to regarding other scents.
Any wearers out there?

Cally, I just went through a bottle of JOVAN MUSK fo women! It was really nice... clean and simple, with a linen-like, aldehydic head. Gorgeous to go to bed to, after an evening shower.

I still have some Jovan Musk, and also Bonne Bell Skin Musk. I love them.....they are still great, & reasonably priced too!
I wouldn't care WHAT anyone said about my perfume. NO ONE is going to discourage me from wearing something I love & enjoy wearing & smelling.
Psssssst......*whispering* between you and me, I AM a PERFUME WHORE.....and SO WHAT OF IT? LOL I don't mind being a perfume whore....in fact, I'll be the first to admit it!

I think JWM is a wonderful scent. I had a coworker who wore it, and I would actually scoot my chair closer to her to get the sillage. Sadly, I cannot wear it myself. For some reason it dries down to a weird swampy smell on me. I've tried many times, but no go. Fortunately, I can wear the lotion, and I often put it on before bed, esp. in the winter.
BTW, what's with the crowd over at MUA? They seem to know an awful lot about the olfactory characteristics of hookers, not to mention old ladies and the business ends of cows. Those gals really get around.

Well, we are all probably perfume whores....I mean, look at us....many of us have enough perfume to last us the rest of our lives! LOL
But, that's something only WE would understand, isn't it?
I don't smoke, drink, or chew tobacco. I don't buy expensive clothes, purses, or shoes, (I USED to be a shoe ho...still have tons of shoes...most I don't even wear now!), so I think its ok to splurge sometimes on perfume, right?

Thanks for the review! I wore the original Jovan Musk Oil for a good couple of years when it was riding high and I can smell it in my imagination as I write. Just wondering what is the difference between the Musk Oil and White Musk.

I tried this last year and I loved it. I went through half a bottle quite fast. It just seemed suitable for the cool weather we were having. I haven't used it in a while so I might have to pull it out and give it a try in warmer weather. I always thought that this musk, and Coty Wild Musk smell more expensive than they actually are. Great cheapies that don't smell cheap at all! Enjoy!

Jovan White Musk is nice, but I prefer the original.
I have a JWM cologne and lotion set if anyone wants to swap for it:=)

I like the Jovan Musk Oil (the original) but I bought the Jovan Musk Cologne Concentrate and it doesn't smell great on me at all. I prefer and have the oil form. I think it's the bigger ($20) bottle.
I'll swap you that if you want! Email me!
