Several days ago, there was a story from the A href="http://"www.nypost.com/seven/05162007/news/regionalnews/cruel_l_i__slave_masters_regionalnews_stefanie_cohen__kieran_crowley_and_kate_sh
eehy.htm">NYPost regarding a millionaire couple from Long Island, NY, who was charged for brutalizing their help. A very sad situtation. She ran a mutlimillion dollar business from home, peddling Royal Mirage Perfume throughout the world through at least five companies. Frankly, after reading this story, I will keep in mind of the terrible ordeal the help went through and restrain myself into purchasing this perfume. I would feel guilty for what they went through.

Scentual, what a horrible story! Beware that perfume!

I tried the link but couldn't get to the article. The only way I could get ot it was by googling, then clicking on the top link from there:

I apologize for the poor links. I don't know what happened. The story is very recent, just two days ago, Wednesday.

Thanks for googling and posting the article.

You're welcome. I'm glad Royal Mirage is not a popular perfume around here. I don't recall seeing it discussed, do you? (All to the better...)

Scentual, I was just browsing in the Canadian news and by a strange coincidence, this article turned up:

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/montreal/story/20...an-traffic.html

I absolutely cannot understand the mentality that would treat someone like a slave and I hope I never can understand it!

Here's another article on the same case in Canada. This article mentions the couple in Long Island case too:

OMG! How that story mirrored the one in NY. The couple who were arrested in Canada, I wondered if they were the same country that the NYers were from. I don't want to cause a stir here, but it is ironic, don't you agree?
